I had to do a second more careful reading of you message to understand
that you wanted me to get the same data in non-working condition. 

I took the time to use a  usb-debain-live-image to test again. I used it
for downloading and browsing for approximately 2 hours (1 GB), no
collisions occurred. I did a reboot to check if it would change, but it
didn't. So I can't reproduce the collisions, but I am not sure if this
short test is completely reliable.
I would suggest closing the bug. If other people are encountering the
same problems they can have a look at the output a working
system/configuration/nic.
