No, it doesn't! In fact dmesg tells me:

me@debian:~$ dmesg |grep ata2
[    6.197265] ata2: SATA max UDMA/133 cmd 0xe80 ctl 0xe00 bmdma 0xe008
irq 21 [    7.028025] ata2: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)

and I guess the missing "SATA link down" indicated the problem with the
other kernel? With 2.6.26-15lenny3 everything seems to be fine.
