I have to pull out the power plug to get it usable again.
My motherboard is a M2N-SLI Deluxe and the controller is a nvidia nforce 570 sli mcp built in gigabit mac with external Marvell PHY according to the manual.
At first I tried to use the other of the two onboard network controllers, but also that one got disabled after rebooting.
