Bug#517796: linux-image-2.6-amd64-etchnhalf: Firewire-HDD doesn't work and md can't get assembled
Package: linux-image-2.6-amd64-etchnhalf
Severity: normal
With the 2.6.18-6 Kernel in Etch the System is running perfectly.
After installing the Etch'n'half-kernel the system fails to boot with
this kernel.
Current setup:
/dev/md0 as /boot (RAID1)
/dev/md1 as PV for LVM (RAID1)
/dev/md2 as PV for LVM (RAID5)
miraculix:~# pvs && vgs && lvs

All the required files to start the system are located on RAID1.
When the system tries to boot, the assembly of all md-devices fails and the
kernel is unable to communicate with the firewire-HDD usually used as
medium for BackupPC.
