Package: linux-source-2.6.26 Version: 2.6.26-13 Severity: important I am experiencing the same bug as ubuntu # 276476 ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/276476 ), albeit with an earlier kernel version. I am submitting this bug report because Google tells me that 2.6.26 is not thought to be affected. In my instance, I am running 2 etch/lenny user-mode-linux vm's on an etch/lenny host. Both kernels are built from the latest version of lenny's linux-source-2.6.26 package and, AFAIK, there are no idle-priority or nice+19 processes running on any system involved. I will, however, attach example output of "ps -Al" on each system. In both vm's, but not on the host, I am regularly hitting the above kernel scheduling bug, causing the vm in question to slow to a crawl. When this happens, both the host and the sibling vm appear to whizz along with little or no performance loss. I have saved the backtrace from one such occurence and will attach it below. If I can be of any assistance with closing this bug, e.g. by trying patches, please let me know. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers stable APT policy: (990, 'stable'), (600, 'testing'), (500, 'oldstable'), (200, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.26-oracle-imq-7.0 Locale: LANG=en_NZ.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_NZ.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8)
