Bug#513406: Possible oops during eeepc-laptop module init; kills ACPI hotkeys

Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.26-1
Forwarded: corentincj@iksaif.net, acpi4asus-user@lists.sourceforge.net, linux-kernel@vger.kernel.org
Tags: patch

I was adjusting my EeePC 901's display brightness via Fn-F3 while it was
starting up. By coincidence, it happened to be initialising the eeepc-laptop
module, and an oops was logged. Investigation pointed to a NULL dereference;
a case of use-before-init.

(I'm using with eeepc-laptop compiled in, but inspection of the
2.6.26 source indicates that the problem is there too.)
