Bug#513406: Possible oops during eeepc-laptop module init; kills ACPI hotkeys
Forwarded: firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org
I was adjusting my EeePC 901's display brightness via Fn-F3 while it was
starting up. By coincidence, it happened to be initialising the eeepc-laptop
module, and an oops was logged. Investigation pointed to a NULL dereference;
a case of use-before-init.
(I'm using 184.108.40.206 with eeepc-laptop compiled in, but inspection of the
2.6.26 source indicates that the problem is there too.)
