Bug#496917: Also happens on migration

Hi,

The "CPU stuck" error message also happens when a KVM guest is migrated from one physical machine to another one.

I can reproduce this on HP DL360, DL380 and DL585 servers. The host OS versions I've tried are Debian 2.6.26-1-amd64 -12, fedora 10 with 2.6.27. The guest OS is debian lenny with the latest (12) kernel.

I've been trying to find a working kvm/kernel combination for a while now. So far I've tested kvm 64,71,72,74 and now 83 and they all have this problem. Having cpu frequency scaling enabled makes the problem worse. Also disabling dynticks made the problem harder to reproduce.

Regards,

Rik
