Hi, 2.6.28 includes a fix for this issue. Linux bugzilla entry [1] points to the patch set that was included in 2.6.28rc1. I confirm that I could not reproduce the issue with 2.6.28rc7 and 2.6.28 compiled with make-kpkg. Debian testing kernel (2.6.26-12) is still affected though.
