Bug#490618: RTC compiled into kernel stops use of rtc-cmos and therefore ACPI wakeup

Package: linux-image-2.6.25-2-amd64
Version: 2.6.25-6

It seems rtc is compiled into the kernel instead of as a module.
As a result rtc-cmos will not work and there is no way of using
ACPI wakeup as the old /proc/acpi/alarm has been removed.

Is there any workaround available? ie. disable the rtc driver so
rtc-cmos can take over? or a way to restore the /proc/acpi/alarm.

Thanks.
