Package: initramfs-tools Version: 0.91e Severity: normal Invoking mkinitramfs using -d conf where conf is a relative path results in cpio bailing out: cpoio: ./conf/initramfs.conf: Cannot stat: No such file or directory Providing an absolute path makes this go away.
