Bug#498735: linux-image-2.6.26-1-amd64: SATA HD is not detected on SiS 965

Package: linux-image-2.6.26-1-amd64
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

Current 2.6.26 kernels in Debian don't define the CONFIG_SATA_SIS option
in the kernel configuration, making it not build the sata_sis.ko module.
This renders systems that boot from SATA HDs on non-AHCI SiS SATA
controllers unbootable, such as mine. I was able to boot it using
2.6.22-3.

Here is some relevant information output by lshw:

Proposed solution: put "CONFIG_SATA_SIS=m" in kernel config.
