the monitor does not turn off with image>= 2.6.23
in my kernel (compiled with vanilla) 2.6.26.1 the monitor works well, with the debian linux-image-2.6.26-*86 the monitor does not work.
last kernel working kernel is linux-image-2.6.22-486
