Bug#490751: linux-image-2.6.25-2-686: proprietary NVIDIA module will not install
Hello,
I'm somewhat puzzled by this answer:
>*again*
>no we won't turn features down for broken proprietary scripts.

>it is a pity that nvidia doesn't produce free xorg drivers

>just fetch the corresponding unstable drivers, they should install
>just fine.
1) Kernel 2.6.24 worked quite well for me without those xen options.
2) If you consider that essential for package:
linux-image-2.6.25-2-686
Why do we have this other package:
linux-image-2.6.25-2-xen-686
??
At least, I consider that misleading. What's the difference?
If there's a difference, I assume that if you liked any xen
options enabled, you would install the xen kernel image.
Are those xen options in standard kernel required for compiling
any other - new - feature?
Thanks.
Daniel R.
