Package: firmware-bnx2
Version: 0.11~bpo40+1
Severity: important

When the root filesystem is encrypted via LUKS, the init scripts wait for the passphrase, and at that time, the root filesystem is not available. The
bnx2 module tries to load the firmware from the disk and fails after a long time. The module loading for any devices that may need firmware files
from disk should be stalled until the passphrase is given. Alternatively, the firmware files could be added to the ramdisk.

This version is not provided by the kernel team.

Use the package from stable. It contains the necessary code.
