Package: linux-image-2.6.18-2-686
Version: 2.6.18-5
Severity: normal

Hello,

I have a Sony Vaio S-380 laptop with an nvidia GeForce Go 6200
graphics card. I have been using the nvidiafb module with the
2.6.16-2-686 kernel, but when I tried to upgrade to 2.6.17-2,
2.6.18-1, and now 2.6.18-2 kernels, the system freezes when the module
is loaded. The freeze occurs after the display changes to use the full
screen, and the message "nvidiafb: Flat panel dithering disabled" is
printed.

Thanks,
~Phillip
