Package: linux-image-2.6.21-1-686
Version: 2.6.21-4
Severity: important

When booting this kernel reports that it cannot find the root
filesystem (/dev/sda1) and dumps me into a debug shell. I'm using EXT3
and the grub command looks correct (it looks the same as the line for
2.6.18-4-686). I am, however, able to run 2.6.18-4-686, it
finds /dev/sda1 with no problem.
I'm not running any odd kernel modules except for vmware's. I have
vmware tools installed from an older kernel (older than
2.6.18-4-686) so vmware reports my vmware tools as "out of date".
