Package: logrotate
Version: 3.7.1-3
Severity: minor
Hello,
I experienced the following error:
=====
/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:
error: stat of /var/log/ipw3945d/ipw3945d.log failed: No such file or directory
run-parts: /etc/cron.daily/logrotate exited with return code 1
=====
This because even if I installed ipw3945d, I never used it, because I
prefer the daemon-free iwl3945 driver instead [1].
Logrotate should check if /var/log/$FILE exists before acting on it.
Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca
Footnotes:
[1] ipw3945 was for a rescue WiFi setup in case the iwl3945 would have
problems...

The ipw3945d package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.
For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/475684 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.
Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.
Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
