Package: ipw3945d
Severity: normal

Hello,

I have installed accidentally ipw3945d and then I purged the package.
Now looking over /etc/passwd I found the user created by this package
was not removed on package purge:

$ grep ipw /etc/passwd
Debian-ipw3945d:x:109:112::/home/Debian-ipw3945d:/bin/false

Also, AFAIK, this user should be a system user (adduser -S) and the
postrm scripts should take care to remove the user on purge.

The ipw3945d package has been removed from Debian testing, unstable and
experimental, so I am now closing the bugs that were still opened
against it.

For more information about this package's removal, read
http://bugs.debian.org/475684 . That bug might give the reasons why
this package was removed, and suggestions of possible replacements.

Don't hesitate to reply to this mail if you have any question.

Thank you for your contribution to Debian.
