Package: linux-image-2.6.20-1-vserver-686
Version: 2.6.20-3
Severity: normal

I upgraded the kernel (from 2.6.18) to track some weird behavior within vserver
(connections to vserver-ed apache start to drop packets eventually) --
and discovered that no vserver started on reboot automatically due to:

,--
| ncontext: vc_net_create(): Invalid argument
|
| An error occured while executing the vserver startup sequence; when
| there are no other messages, it is very likely that the init-script
| (/etc/init.d/rc 3) failed.
|
| Common causes are:
| * /etc/rc.d/rc on Fedora Core 1 and RH9 fails always; the 'apt-rpm' build
| method knows how to deal with this, but on existing installations,
| appending 'true' to this file will help.
|
|
| Failed to start vserver 'proxy'
`---

I had to google up a quick fix to this
http://www.christianschenk.org/blog/upgrading-vserver-from-20-to-22/

As a solution I see some warning during kernel installation which checks
existing vserver configurations and at least warns if there are no
contexts assigned.

Also -- changelog.Debian.gz seems to be missing information about vserver patch
upgrade over to 2.2... I found out about the upgrade only from the source of
the package... and besides the changelog.Debian there is no way to figure out
at run time what version of vserver patch is applied (it is wiped out from
kernel version as upstream does) -- it would been perfect if 1 line in vserver
patch added reporting of the vserver patch during boot... it sounds like a
separate wishlist bugreport -- so pardon me for shuffling everything
together.
