Package: linux-image
Version: 2.6.18-3-486

I failed to install Etch (i386 NETINST Binary-1 20070211) on the ati
sb600 chipset platform if I set the SATA to legacy IDE mode in the
system bios.

It prompts:

ata3: sata link up 1.5 Gbps (SStatus 113 SControl 300)
ata3.00: qc timeout (cmd 0xec)
ata3.00: failed to IDENTIFY (I/O error, err_mask=0104

There is an available fix, which works around to set SATA to ahci mode
instead of legacy ide mode. And it has been accepted by kernel.org.
Could you guys kindly add it to Etch before the final release? Thanks!

Regards,
Wolke
