Package: linux-image-2.6.16-1-686
Version: 2.6.16-1
Severity: normal

Hello, I don't know if this is the correct place for my problem, but I just
try it. I have a problem with my buildin ethernet (r8169) on a Benq Joybook
S72 laptop. I saw that someone else had the nearly the same problem (bug
#358744).
My usb-mouse behaved jumpy (unuseable) and the eth0 don't work. So I
installed a kernel source image, configured it and had the same problem.
This problem solves, if I use the bootoption "irqpoll", then everything is
working normal.
I saw that I get cryptic messages on start up about the yenta/pcmcia, so I
disabled it in my own kernel config, but it chanced nothing, only irqpoll
helped. This is a part from dmesg, without the irqpoll option:

...
Local APIC disabled by BIOS -- you can enable it with "lapic"
mapped APIC to ffffd000 (01402000)
...
irq 11: nobody cared (try booting with the "irqpoll" option)

Has it something to do with a broken DSDTable? Do I have a chance to get a
normal working system, or have I written only rubbish?
Thanks so far Greetings dan.

I'm using debian/ unstable, and yes I'm using the fglrx-drivers but a
prebuild deb package from
http://xoomer.virgilio.it/flavio.stanchina/debian/fglrx-installer.html , not
the one from ATI. If you like more information or the complete dmesg just
mail me, and tell me how to gather them.
