Package: Kernel
Version: 2.6.21 (I guess)
Severity: grave
when I boot from the tesinlenny CD from the 10/7-07 I get this
messege: ..MP-BIOS bug: 8254 timer not connected to IO-APIC
kernel panic - not syncing: IO-APIC + timer doesn't work! Boot with
apic=debug and send a report. Then booting with the 'noapic' option
Kubuntu 7.04 and kubuntu 710 tribe 2 have the same bug. At the kubunu I tried to use the apic=debug but I did get the same messege an with the noapic option I could boot but without mouse and keyboard support.
I have a M2N4-SLI fromAsus with the latest bios, a 5000+ X2 and 2*1 GiB of ram

Version: 2.6.24-1
most probably fixed in newer acpi, thus closing.
