As far as I know, I'm not using any firmware, unless you mean on chip
firmware.  If that's the case, nothing has changed in that regard, and
the madwifi modules didn't experience this connection drop with this
card.

I realize it is an upstream problem, I was hoping there was a patch in
the ath5k tree.  I can try to take a look a little later if you don't
have time, but I have to look after a plumbing problem first :/
