Bug#461733: linux-2.6: freezes when unplugging USB bluetooth adapter while in use

Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.18.dfsg.1-17
Severity: important

[Full disclosure: I've applied the sco-flowcontrol patch as distributed
in bluetooth-alsa, as I can't use my bluetooth headset otherwise.]

I'm getting a full kernel freeze with the following sequence:

- USB bluetooth adapter is plugged in; Bluetooth services are running
- Running headsetd (bluetooth-alsa)
- Running mplayer with output directed at headset via ALSA
- Unplug the USB bluetooth adapter with an evil laugh
- Hear mplayer whimper for a couple of seconds
- Witness the kernel locking up

The kernel does appear to produce an oops (or so I remember from the one
time I was on a console), but no ksymoops log can be found.

I don't have any experience with kernel debugging, so let me know how to
proceed if you need more information. (I could probably do some tests
without too much pain if this works with VMware.)
