Sorry for the delay: back from vacation (where I've had no Internet
access!), got rid of a noteworthy e-mail backlog, had some real life
issues to address, ...

After installing linux-image-2.6.23-rc4-amd64
(version: 2.6.23~rc4-1~experimental.1~snapshot.9444)
fron trunk, I still experience this bug:

  $ ls -altrF /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/
  total 0
  dr-xr-xr-x 10 root root 0 2007-09-04 23:06 ../
  dr-xr-xr-x  2 root root 0 2007-09-04 23:12 ./
  $ ls -altrF /proc/acpi/fan/
  total 0
  dr-xr-xr-x 10 root root 0 2007-09-04 23:06 ../
  dr-xr-xr-x  2 root root 0 2007-09-04 23:12 ./

 Need to read a Debian testing installation walk-through?
