FYI, this patch, which should fix the problem, is included in the stock
2.6.23-rc1 kernel:
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/gregkh/pci/2.6/2.6.22/pci-pci_set_power_state-check-for-pm-capabilities-earlier.patch

I assume it will end up in Debian when 2.6.23 is released.
