Hello

I noticed while upgrading my kernel-image packages to the latest update
that no backups of the old image are made.

At least for something as critical as kernels it would be nice to have
a /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.8-2-686.old and /boot/initrd.img-2.6.8-2-686.old.

bye,

-christian-

initramfs creates a backup when running. it is easily found on boot with
grub autocompletition.
otherwise when a new abi kernel gets installed the old stays too.

closing as premises seems done
