Bug#391867: linux-image-2.6.18-4 still broken

Hello!

I just wanted to mention that the bug disussed here still exists on my
box using the kernel from
http://people.debian.org/~nobse/kernel/linux-2.6/i386/
(in my case linux-image-2.6.18-4-k7_2.6.18-9_i386.deb)

Here the output from dmesg:

A further issue which - imho is coupled w/ this one - is that my cd/dvd
combo drive does not seem to work: firstly there is no inidication in
dmesg that it was fond an secondly it behaves like dead: it does not
open if i press the button and it does not blink; it can be opened until
these message appear on the screen.

Is there another kernel version (prefferably as *.deb) that i could test?

Cheers,
Sigmund
