Subject: linux-2.6: tulip module handles dmfe cards
Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.18-3
Severity: normal
Tags: patch
Davicom NICs (dmfe Kernel module) are handled with the tulip module, so
network access does not work, the following error Message appears in
dmesg:
tulip_stop_rxtx() failed
Ubuntu users also reported this problem and fixed it:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.15/+bug/48287
The patch for this problem can be found here:
http://librarian.launchpad.net/3009951/tulip_patch.diff
There is a temporary workaround for this problem:
rmmod tulip
rmmod dmfe
modprobe dmfe
Thanks for fixing this...
