Bug#442419: linux-image-2.6.22-2-686: Belkin F5D7050 v.4002 wireless USB adapter fails to communicate.

Package: linux-image-2.6.22-2-686
Version: 2.6.22-4
Severity: normal

When the device is plugged in the zd1211rw driver loads
automatically without errors in dmesg or /var/log/messages
and I can see details of the wireless router using iwconfig
and iwlist scan. However attempts to ping the router fail
with "No route to host". Ifconfig output indicates frame
errors receiving packets and some errors sending packets.

Adapter works fine from WinXp box to same wireless router,
so hardware should be ok.

On plugging the USB wireless adapter dmesg:
usb 5-1: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 7
usb 5-1: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
usb 5-1: reset high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 7

zd1211rw 5-1:1.0: eth1
usbcore: registered new interface driver zd1211rw
udev: renamed network interface eth1 to eth3

After ifup eth3 /var/log/messages:

Tried ifconfig first:

ifdown eth3
ifconfig eth3 up
