Package: initramfs-tools
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Booting with 'root=UUID=...' fails, it just hangs at "Waiting for
root file system..." and you can't boot your system anymore unless
you fall back to root=/dev/... syntax.

It's a problem of initramfs-tools 0.88.
It works fine with 0.87b.

Hi,

I can't reproduce the problem ("booting with root=UUID=... does not
work with version 0.88") anymore - recent initramfs-tools versions
work fine for me. Thanks for your assistance, maks. If I can
reproduce the behaviour again I'll let you know; closing this
bugreport for now.

regards,
-mika-
