Guess I'll follow your advice and build a 2.6.21kernel.Ok I found the problem. the DHG version of the chip is only supported in kernels >= 2.6.21 while you have a 2.6.18 kernel. I am therefore reassigning the bug to the linux-2.6 package and marking this bug fixed in 2.6.21. As you are using stable, you can try to fetch a more recent kernel from backports.org or build one yourself.
