Bug#413279: ipw3945d: leaves a user behind after purge
tags 413279 wontfix
thanks
Hi Eddy,
This was discussed numerous times before, and the consensus (the way I
see it, at least) is that it is better to leave the user behind. There
is always a possibility that there will be files owned by the user
left on the system (or entries in /proc, in case of ipw3945d). If the
user is removed and another user with the same uid is created later,
it may lead to undesired consequences. I understand that it's a bit
far fetched, but there is really no good reason, other than aesthetic,
for removing it.
Best regards,
