Thanks. Yeah, I see the same, LBD is enabled.

In the meantime, I found out the problem was 'smbmount' related. When I 
exchanged 'smbmount' with 'mount.cifs', the problems were solved and I can 
see the entire 3.x TB.

There is apparently a 2.0TB limit in 'smbmount'.
