Package: linux-image-2.6.17-1-k7
Version: 2.6.17-4
Severity: important

Moving from 2.4 to 2.6 kernel results on errors like this:

hda: DMA timeout error
hda: dma timeout error: status=0x59 { DriveReady SeekComplete
DataRequest Error }
hda: dma timeout error: status=0x84 { DriveStatusError BadCRC}
ide: failed opcode was: unknown

The system is frozen.
I have changed to other disk but still have DMA errors, so there is not
a hard disk issue. No errors got running a 2.4 kernel.
