normal serial controller, that if both are builtin the kernel, then the 
PC serial controller will take priority over pmac_zilog, and this second 
one will not work.

None currently. It's an old issue. The new serial core cannot deal with 2 
drivers wanting to share the same major device. The only solution would 
be to allocate a new major for pmac_zilog (or steal one that is only used 
by a non-ppc arch, doesn't sparc has a separate major for zilog ? we 
could re-use that ....)
