Hi,

I have the same problem as bug 270451 here, although my networking
card is different. I have dist-upgraded my box yestoday, and the
dhcp-client just never got an address anymore. When I type "ifconfig",
strangely, eth0 got a IPv6 address. I think that is the problem, but
it seems I can't get back to IPv4 address. I have modified
/etc/modules.conf to avoid load ipv6 module, and blacklist-ed it in
/etc/hotplug/blacklist. Nevertheless, it was just never back to IPv4
anymore.  My /etc/network/interfaces is as the following,

auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
