Even more good - I had a pending bug report about 2.6.17 packages about 
watchdog timeouts dropping me back to PROM prompt, either uner load or 
at night under unknown circumstances. But your 2.6.18 packages has been 
stable so far for several days with no single problem. Have yet to try 
reading a CD (this has thrown ESP SCSI errors in installer), but so far 
it seems to be the first stable Debian kernel for this machine since 
Sarges's 2.6.8.
