Moin, as has been reported to the bts (#378323, #376089 and somehow related #352891), power-off using apm does not work 'out of the box' with current debian kernels, as they are built for SMP machines. all these problems can be solved, if the apm module is loaded with the option "power_off". As the smp-enabled kernels are now the default, setting this option by default would be a good idea. -- c u henning
