        The kernel image postinst is not meant for these tasks; it
 provides hooks where other packages and users can add tasks to be run
 at the appropriate stage of the install.  There is no way kernel
 package can keep track of all the different things that need to be
 done, and remain current as the requirements and interfaces evolve.
