Last time my Mustek MFS-6000CX Scanner worked with this driver was
kernel 2.4.27 since then I could use both as a door stop.

If I understand this correctly, you are saying this problem is due to
lack of termination, and is therefore not a kernel bug. I will go
ahead and close this bug accordingly. If I have misunderstood, feel
free to reopen.
