Re: Kernel 2.6.18 with xen-unstable does not boot

I downloaded the sources of the debian package for the kernel 2.6.18.
From there I took the xen patch fedora-36175.patch and applied it to a
vanilla 2.6.18 kernel taken from kernel.org. The command I used was
patch -s -p1 < fedora-36175.patch.
Please test this with the Images from unstable.
It worked! Now I am using the xen-3.0-unstable-1-amd64.gz image. Thanks.
Come to that, I'd like to ask the difference between these three images:
xen-3.0.2-1-amd64.gz
xen-3.0-amd64.gz
xen-3.0-unstable-1-amd64.gz
I guess it's, respectively, stable 3.0.2, stable 3.0 and unstable (soon
to be 3.0.3), but I'd like to ask for confirmation on this.
Also, the version 3.0.2+hg9697 on Alioth[1] for the kernel 2.6.16.19
uses the xen-3.0-amd64.gz image (it freezes with the
xen-3.0.2-1-amd64.gz), which confuses me in terms of whether I am using
Xen 3.0 or Xen 3.0.2 (I don't mean the patches in the kernel, but the
Xen image in /boot).
Would you be so kind as to throw some light on these, please?
Thanks in advance.
