Nope. I feel somewhat sheepish now. :-) Works fine now...
It'd be nice if initramfs came with some sort of README.Debian_firmware doc,
indicating the existence of non-free firmware modules, and how to write
your own hook script to load user-installed firmware blobs. If you could,
please re-file this as a wishlist bug. Thanks.
