Makes the package in question unusable to me and others

> 2.6.18 gives a kernel panic if 'apci=off' is specified as a boot parameter. The issue does not occur with 2.6.17 or earlier.

Here it panics without any special option or if try acpi=off or acpi=on. That is every time.
Also no problem with erlier kernels.
Lets see if I can type this skipping some leading 0 and reserving for typos.

This is on Microstar K8T Neo2-F v2.0 bios AwardBIOS   W7094WMS  V3.0 071405 with a AMD64 X2 3800+ CPU
