Bug#352891: linux-image-2.6.17-2-686: halt doesn't power off with apm
Package: linux-image-2.6.17-2-686
Version: 2.6.17-9
Followup-For: Bug #352891
with linux-image-2.6.16-2-686 (2.6.16-18) whenever i did an /sbin/halt,
it would completely turn off my system.
after upgrading the kernel it just sits there with the "System halted."
message until i manually power it off.
i tried with apm=power-off and apm=poweroff, with no luck (though 2.6.16
didn't require specifying any apm= at the boot prompt).
this is on an old 300MHz IBM Thinkpad 240.
live well,
vagrant
