Recently I've upgraded kernel on my [x86] laptop from [heavily patched]
2.4.33.3 to 2.6.17.11 (self-compiled) and got a similar behaviour.

The file system in question is mounted with options

rw,tcp,hard,lock,nfsvers=3,rsize=8192,wsize=8192

The output of lspci -vvv, the kernel config and the script (in fact,
simple bonnie++ benchmark) which triggers the problem are attached.
Note that reproducing this takes a while (about 4 hours on my system).

Best regards,
 Alexei
