The log is in the attachment. I have added some newlines in it, so that it is easier to read. The problem persists even after I fetched today's etch updates with aptitude. Those LC_LOCALES problems are a trait of clean fresh install of etch, perhaps I should submit that in another bug, but I don't care about it now, and I belive that it will be fixed anyway (or maybe is already fixed, although doing updates does not fix that).
