Package: initramfs-tools
Version: 0.73
Severity: important

when setting BOOT=nfs and trying to boot, the nfs mount fails, because
busybox mount does not support nfs mounting (debian bug #348664:
busybox: consider CONFIG_NFSMOUNT)

this is what happens on boot:

IP-Config: eth0 complete (from 10.0.2.2):
 address: 10.0.2.15 broadcast: 10.0.2.255 netmask: 255.255.255.0
 gateway: 10.0.2.2 dns0 : 10.0.2.3 dns1 : 0.0.0.0
 rootserver: 10.0.2.2 rootpath:
 filename :
Begin: Running /scripts/nfs-premount ...
Done.
mount: Mounting 10.0.2.2:/opt/ltsp/i386 on /root failed: No such file or
directory
Begin: Running /scripts/nfs-bottom ...
Done.

i've manually verified that "busybox mount" behaves the same way if run
on a normal system (not from initramfs-tools).

when i try setting BUSYBOX=n in initramfs.conf, i get an ugly warning:

update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-2.6.16-2-486
Warning: Busybox is required for successful boot!

is there any way around this (to get regular mount installed in the
initramfs)?

live well,
  vagrant

Description:
initramfs-tools - tools for generating an initramfs
Closes: 380686
Changes:
 initramfs-tools (0.73b) unstable; urgency=high
 .
   * Revert nfs change in 0.70: Debian busybox is build with CONFIG_NFSMOUNT=n.
Reuse nfsmount from klibc. nfsroot parsing needs more care for the next
release. Now at least support those users where nfs previously worked.
Thanks Vagrant Cascadian <vagrant+bugs@freegeek.org> for report.
(closes: 380686). High urgency to get this into testing.
