Package: kernel-image-2.4.16-newpmac Version: 2.4.16-1.1 Severity: minor Using mutt on the console, I sometimes see characters or parts of characters appear. For example, the ?:Help text on the help line is often repeated to the edge of the right edge of the screen. Since this occurs with other curses applications, and often repeats only parts of characters, I believe this is a kernel problem. This occurs on my iBook2. -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Architecture: powerpc Kernel: Linux catalonia 2.4.16-newpmac #1 Mon Jan 7 20:51:25 EST 2002 ppc Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=CAttachment: pgpYjzS5afIWK.pgp

there are now newer reports against console usage in powerpc against 2.6, so assuming that your bug report got fixed inbetween. you might want to test the latest Debian installer: -> http://www.debian.org/devel/debian-installer/ daily builds will be soon switched to expected beta3 for etch. thanks for your feedback. -- maks
