Bug#380245: linux-source-2.6.16: nvidiafb problem
Package: linux-source-2.6.16
Version: 2.6.16-17
Severity: normal
The fbcon on nvidiafb is acting up when they are both compiled in. I
have compiled 2.6.16 with the config from my 2.6.15 kernel using
oldconfig with as few changing as possible, and none that should affect
fbcon or nvidiafb. After console-tools set the font during boot, the
cursor keeps moving horisontally on the same line while new lines of
text are added below it. As the text scrolls, the cursor follows it
vertically. I hope that's an understandable description of what's going
on. Nothing like that happened with 2.6.15, and with the
linux-image-2.6.16-k7 package it seems to work after the nvidiafb is
loaded and /etc/init.d/console-setup start is invoked.
